Fund Completion
When your fund reaches its trading end time, it automatically enters the completion phase. This guide explains what happens during this critical period.
The Completion Process
Step 1: Trading End
When the trading end time is reached:
- No new trades can be executed
- All open positions await resolution on their respective platforms
- The fund's final performance begins to be calculated as positions resolve
Step 2: Performance Calculation
Once all positions are resolved:
- The system calculates the fund's total performance:
Performance = (Final Balance - Initial AUM) / Initial AUM
- If performance is positive, your performance fee is calculated
- If performance is negative or zero, no performance fee is applied
Step 3: Fee Distribution
If the fund was profitable:
- Your performance fee is automatically calculated when the fund concludes
- The fee is processed and sent to your account abstraction wallet the first time any investor attempts to redeem their shares
- No manual claim process is required - the fee distribution happens automatically through the smart contract
- The remaining balance stays in the fund for investor withdrawals
Important: Performance fees are triggered by the first redemption action after fund conclusion. This means your fee is prioritized before investor withdrawals can be fully processed.
Performance Fee Example
Initial AUM | Final Balance | Profit | Performance Fee | Your Earnings |
---|---|---|---|---|
10,000 USDC | 12,000 USDC | 2,000 USDC | 20% | 400 USDC |
50,000 USDC | 45,000 USDC | -5,000 USDC | 20% | 0 USDC |
25,000 USDC | 32,500 USDC | 7,500 USDC | 25% | 1,875 USDC |
Step 4: Investor Withdrawals
- All investors can now withdraw their share of the remaining funds
- Their final amount depends on:
- Their initial deposit
- The fund's overall performance
- The fees they've paid
Post-Completion Analytics
After your fund completes, you'll have access to:
- Detailed performance metrics
- Trading history and analysis
- Comparison to other funds
- Investor statistics
